ÉRMA ENSEMBLEÉRMA ENSEMBLEElio Herrera is a Venezuelan cellist residing in Germany. In addition to his studies at Folkwang University of the Arts Essen, he participated in advanced courses for new music, "Impuls Academy" in Graz, the "European Workshop for New Music" at the festival "Warsaw Autumn" in Poland and the "Ensemble Academy Freiburg". Herrera's concert experience in contemporary music is extensive. He is a founding member of the "ÉRMA" - Ensemble Cologne and has had guest performances with the ensembles "Musikfabrik", "Kollektiv 3/6" and "Ensemble Garage", the dance company "Mouvoir" as well as the ensembles "Oh-Ton" (Oldenburg) and "E-Mex" (Essen). He performed at international festivals for new music: among others "Acht Brücken" music festival Cologne, the "NOW! festival" Essen, at the "Lange Nacht der Musik" in Oldenburg as well as at the "Tanz im August" in Berlin.
